Impaired Driver Hits Police Car
A patrol officer in Suffolk County was injured when an impaired driver struck the police cruiser. The police officer was assisting at a previous crash.
Paul Harrison was sitting in his patrol car and parked at the intersection of Hawkins Avenue and Patricia Lane when the driver's side of his car was hit by Robert Hahn. The accident occured around 3:00am on September 11, 2008.
Harrison was being treated for neck and back injuries at Stony Brook University Medical Center. He has been released.
Hahn was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs.
